Taiwan - Chiayi & Alisen

Next day, we woke up and took some photos before departing the resort.

Then we left the resort and proceed to see salt mountain (Yen Shan).

and tried the salty ice-cream

Then we proceed to take boat out to view the Oyster farm at the sea.

Boat owner suggest we went to a small isle to dig for crabs.

We depart salt mountain and proceed to drive up to Alisen mountain (Ai Li Shan), a 3 hours drive up. Tour guide bring us to the forest and we rush through the forest path before sunset arrive. Becos now is winter time in Taiwan, the night came earlier at around 6pm.

Nice shadow casted on the lake

After dinner at the hotel, we went to Alisen shops area (they only have 6 shops). Tour guide bring us to a tea shop where there is demonstration of tea and tea sampling/selling. The tea are quite nice as they are brew by the mountain people.

They even have a seven-eleven shop and starbucks! Quite modern. But it is very cold, only 10 degrees.

The next day, we woke up very early at 4am to see the sun rise at Alisen mountain.

We took a small train (they only have train to go up the mountain top). It was very cold on top of mountain, about 0 degrees as we can see smoke while we talked. Sky is a bit cloudy or else I think the sunrise will be nicer. There are strange people talking loudly on loudspeaker selling their stuff, spoiling the mood of watching sun rise. Even though some people told them off, they still blast around with the loud speaker.

After that, we went back to hotel. On the way, i saw some nice scenery.

After that, we left Alisen after breakfast and proceed to see a pottery museum, which is not very interesting.

Then we proceed to sun moon lake where the remnants of some tribe from Alisen mountain are residing. Tour guide bring us to a shop selling royal jelly and Lin Zhi but we are not very interested as they are quite pricey.
Then we went to see the sun moon lake which is very big and beautiful. The water is blue-green but dunno why our cameras can only capture it as blue colour.

I tried to stitch the photos.
