Europe Honeymoon (7) - Paris, Galeries Lafayette

Today is the last day of the group tour (but we be having extensions on ourselves). Tour guide bring us to Galeries Lafayette, another popular shopping area. It is a multi-storey shopping centre selling branded stuff. I find it more convenient to look around because most of the brands are located together, and receipts can be combined to enjoy tax refunds. As the time is very rushed, I only managed to buy some items. M comfort me and said we will have more time to shop during our extension at Paris.

After the shopping, the tour group have to depart for the airport. The tour guide agree to drive us to a central area and we will take taxi to our hotel (which we booked online for our extension). There is another couple who has also extended at Paris (G & J) but they have booked a more expensive hotel (closer to town). However Paris is a very convenient place and the trams stations are so near that it is actually walkable distance.

We took taxi to our new hotel, hotel Taylor. It is a old 2-star hotel, 2 storey and the lift has a door to close (those old type lifts). The room is fine though the toilet bathtub look a bit run down (with chips off) but looks clean. http://www.paris-hotel-taylor.com/

The hotel receptionist told us that it is too early to check in (around 1pm that time) so they asked us to leave our luggage and to have a walk outside. The nearby tram station is République. There is a nice square outside, macdonalds and a mini mart, some shops.

At 3am we went back to check in our hotel. Then we went out to Montmartre, the artist area. M and me have a portrait drawn.

Night time at Paris has almost nothing to do because all shops are closed except some eating places. So we went to take the river cruise. G and J called us and we ask them along to the river cruise. J told me that they just went to the LV shop and she bought an expensive bag.
