Europe Honeymoon (7) - Paris, Luxembourg and back

Our plane flight is in the afternoon. As we have already packed, we decided to go out to take more pictures before we left. We asked the hotel receptionist before we left and he said it is okay to come back by 3pm.

On recommendation from the locals, we went to Luxembourg, a Park in Paris. It is a nice and big park.

The autumn season is about to start and the trees have started to turn red. It is indeed a nice view.

After that, we went out for lunch. Then we realise that many shops are closed on sundays. In fact, only the eating places are opened.

We went to snap the famous church, Notre dame.

After that, we went back to our hotel. The hotel staff looks very frustrated. They have been looking for us because they need us to check out at 1pm, but we didn't realise that their checkout time is 1am because the receptionst told us we can check out at 3pm. Nonetheless, we did not want to argue and left the hotel.

We went to catch our flight back at Paris. Took a cab and the taxi driver keep smoking and driving dangerously while swearing constantly. We met up with G&J at the airport, and then process our tax refund. The Paris airport staff is friendly and efficient. They do stop at my handcarry luggage to look at my cuckoo clock (they thought it is suspicious) but let it go when they realise it is a cuckoo clock. I actually wanted to buy more stuff at the airport but M worried that it be too late so he ask me to check in first and probably check in place will have more shops. End up worst becos the check in point is so boring with only 1 cafe! So we are stuck there (and G&J too) with nothing to do.

When we reach Thailand to change flight, the irritating staff refuse to let us pass through! They keep looking at my cuckoo clock and suspect foul or bomb. They refuse to let us go back to our airplane and they open the cuckoo clock box and even separated the parts out. As the clock is very expensive, i am v angry and scolded them for delaying us. In the end, the staff has no choice but to let us off at the last minute and we have to ran to catch our flight. It is so damn irritating. I guess they never seen a cuckoo clock before. Maybe we should have leave the clock in our luaggage instead of handcarry it but we fear it be damage if we put in luaggage.

Finally we are back in Singapore after a few hours flight from Thailand to Singapore. It is really a nice and memorable trip.
